Practice isn't playing

Practicing a lot doesn't entitle you to a lower score. It sounds harsh, but it's true. The range builds the swing; the course builds the player. There are things —nerves, decisions, awkward lies, wind, the pressure of the card— that you only learn by playing. That's why you only cash in your practice if you play enough.
