Golf Trips
Trips with friends, green fees and where to play.
A golf trip is three decisions made early, where, when and with whom, and a hundred small ones after. These pages take the small ones off your hands: the planner turns dates, a group and a level into days, a checklist from eight weeks out, a packing list and the games for your group; the country pages give you Spain and Portugal by region and season with the federations' own figures; the green fees page explains what you pay for and what moves the price.
No price here is invented. Green fees live on each course's website for your dates, and that is where Morris reads them on WhatsApp: price, conditions, source, the date he read it and the course's booking link. He does not book and does not take payment; the booking and its terms are yours. For a week with several courses he researches the area and sends a report the group can forward. The Costa del Sol and the Algarve are the two trips he knows from home, three hours apart by road, and the week that takes in both is the one most groups end up planning.

Quick answers
- When is the cheapest time to play in the south of Spain or the Algarve?
- Summer: hot, quiet and often half the winter price. Tee off early or at twilight. October to May is the high season there.
- Do I need a handicap certificate?
- Many courses in Spain and Portugal ask for one, some with a maximum. Each course states it on its site; carry your home certificate or your federation app.
- Can Morris book the tee time?
- No. He gives you the course's own price and link with source and date. You book, so the cancellation terms are yours.
