Morris Privacy Policy

What I keep about you

In force since 4 November 2026. Full read: 20 minutes. Short versions only: 3.

What do you do with what I tell you?

I keep it to help you play better. People at Badgie and other AIs may review it to correct me. We do not sell your data and you can ask us to delete it. It is all here, with names and time limits.

Rule 1 of 18Who is responsible

This is a translation to help you read it. The Spanish original prevails where the two differ, except for rights your country's law does not allow to be reduced.

Rule 1Who is responsible

Who has my data?

Badgie, the Spanish company behind me. It decides what the data is used for and answers to you.

  1. 1.1

The data controller is BADGIE SPORTS APP SL (“Badgie”), tax ID B56858582, registered at Calle Diego de León 52, 28006 Madrid (España). For any privacy matter, write to us at hello@badgie.com.

  2. 1.2

This policy explains what data Morris processes on the morris.golf website, on WhatsApp, in the swing analyzer, in your private space, in the assistants you connect and in the Morris app.

  3. 1.3

Morris and Badgie Golf share an account, rounds, reports and subscription. What you do inside the Badgie Golf app, or as a student at a school that uses Badgie, is also governed by Badgie's privacy policy.

  4. 1.4

We need your phone number for Morris to work. Almost everything else is optional: Morris works with what you choose to tell it, although the less you tell it the less it can help.

  5. 1.5

Each rule opens with a short version to help you find your way. What counts is the numbered text.

Rule 2On the website

If I only look at the website, what do you know about me?

Almost nothing: which pages you see, your country and your type of device, without keeping your IP. If you enter your mobile number to sign up, then I keep more.

  1. 2.1

When you browse, we keep which pages you see, where you came from, your country, your type of device, how far you scroll and how long you stay. To count visitors we use a daily code calculated from your IP and browser with a key that changes; those records keep neither the IP nor the browser.

  2. 2.2

When you sign up, we keep your mobile number, country, language, time zone, club code if there is one, your IP address and the moment you tap to open WhatsApp.

  3. 2.3

We also keep how you arrived: the landing page, the referring site, campaign parameters, the search term and, if you come from a Google ad, its click identifier.

  4. 2.4

If you arrive through a Google ad from outside the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we send Google that click identifier along with the time of your sign-up and of your first message, to measure which ads work. We do not send it your number or your messages. If you are in those territories, we do not send it.

  5. 2.5

If you arrive through a link shared by another player, we record that you came through them.

  6. 2.6

If you ask for information as a club manager, we keep your name, club, email, country and role in order to answer you.

  7. 2.7

The guides and calculators on the website are used without an account.

Rule 3On WhatsApp

Do you keep what we talk about?

Yes. I keep our messages, your voice notes and your photos, and a profile of what I learn about your golf. You can see and delete what I remember about you.

  1. 3.1

We keep your number, your WhatsApp profile name, your language, your country and your time zone.

  2. 3.2

We keep the messages you exchange with Morris. WhatsApp protects messages in transit, but Morris has to read them in order to answer, so they stay in our systems.

  3. 3.3

If you send voice notes, we transcribe them with AI. If you send photos, screenshots, scorecards or PDFs, we analyse them with AI. We keep those files.

  4. 3.4

Morris builds up a golf profile: surnames, handicap, club, usual course, city, federation and the last characters of your licence. To identify you in your federation's register, it may look up your record and keep your official name and the data on that record.

  5. 3.5

It also keeps a memory: goals, preferences and whatever you tell it that is useful to remember. You can see and delete that memory, one item at a time or all of it, in your space, which you enter through the link Morris sends when you write “my space”. Morris does not keep licence numbers there.

  6. 3.6

To answer you, Morris may search the internet for what you ask about, read your rounds and check the services you have connected.

  7. 3.7

Morris never asks for passwords in the chat. If you type one by mistake, change it and let us know.

Rule 4Swing videos

What happens to the videos I send you?

An AI analyses them and they are kept in your account. They may go into our lab to improve the analysis. Those from the web analyzer do not: they are deleted after 30 days.

  1. 4.1

Swing videos you send by WhatsApp or through the app are kept with their analysis and the frames we extract from them. To analyse them, the AI models receive frames and data from the video. The files are hosted on Cloudinary.

  2. 4.2

Those videos may be copied to our internal lab, as explained in rule 10. If they show someone else, rule 13 applies.

  3. 4.3

The web analyzer asks for no name, email or account. It uses a random identifier stored in your browser and a code calculated from your IP, plus your language and country. The video and its analysis are deleted after 30 days and do not go into the lab.

  4. 4.4

If you later take a web analysis into your conversation with Morris, that analysis is linked to your account.

Rule 5In the app

Does the app follow me by GPS?

Only if you give it permission and for what it needs: to find the course and give you distances, also with the phone locked while you play.

  1. 5.1

The app uses your Badgie account. You can sign in with Apple, with Google or with your email. We keep your name, your email and your photo if you add one.

  2. 5.2

If you give permission, the app uses your location to find courses and show you the distances to the green during the round, also with the phone locked. You can withdraw that permission in your phone's settings.

  3. 5.3

If you give permission, it uses the camera, photos and microphone to record or choose videos and scan scorecards. If you turn on notifications, we keep an identifier of your device in order to send them.

  4. 5.4

We keep your rounds, scorecards, shots, statistics, analyses and subscription status. We do not receive your payment details: the store has them.

  5. 5.5

The app does not include third-party analytics or advertising tools.

Rule 6Connected services

Do you keep my federation password?

Encrypted, yes, and Badgie Golf keeps it to keep your data up to date. It never goes through the chat. Garmin's, only if Garmin throttles us, and for 48 hours at most.

  1. 6.1

This is what happens with each service you decide to connect:

ServiceHow it connectsWhat we keepWhen you disconnect
RFEG or another federationEmail and password on a morris.golf pageYour credentials, encrypted, until you disconnect or delete the account; your rounds, handicap and licenceThe credentials and federation data are deleted, including licence and handicap. Imported rounds stay until you delete them
GarminGarmin Connect email and password on a morris.golf page, and a code if Garmin asks for oneThe access permission and your rounds, with shots and clubs. The password is not kept, unless Garmin limits access: then, encrypted, for 48 hours at mostThe permission is deleted. Imported rounds stay until you delete them
TrackManYou authorise on TrackMan's pageThe permission, encrypted; your TrackMan account and email; your sessions and shotsThe permission is revoked and deleted. Sessions and shots stay until you delete them
Badgie GolfA code sent to your emailThe link between the two accountsWrite to us to separate them
WAGRYour public recordThe link to your recordThe link is removed
AI assistantsYou authorise on the morris.golf pageThe permission you grantedIt is revoked in your space
  2. 6.2

Morris does not keep passwords: it passes them to Badgie Golf, from the same company, which keeps the federation one encrypted and, if Garmin limits access, Garmin's for the period in the table. They are used only to read your golf data.

  3. 6.3

TrackMan and WAGR are disconnected from their page in your space; the federation and Garmin, from the app; AI assistants, in your space. If you do not have the app, write to us at hello@badgie.com and we will do it.

  4. 6.4

Some of these connections sign in with your credentials or with access that is not an official integration from the manufacturer. Rule 12 of the Terms explains what that means.

  5. 6.5

If you connect an AI assistant, your data reaches that company because you decide so. What it does with it is governed by its terms, not by this policy.

Rule 7Your health

If I tell you I have an injury, what do you do with that?

I remember it so I can take it into account, if you tell me. It is specially protected data: you can ask me to forget it whenever you like.

  1. 7.1

Morris does not ask for health data. But if you tell it about an injury, an ache or a condition, that is health data and the law protects it in a special way.

  2. 7.2

By telling it so that it can take this into account, you give us your explicit consent to keep it in your memory and use it for that purpose. You can withdraw it whenever you like: ask it to forget or delete it in your space. If you would rather it did not keep it, do not tell it.

  3. 7.3

Even if you delete it from the memory, the message in which you said it stays in the conversation until you delete the conversation, as explained in rule 17.

  4. 7.4

An automatic analysis may detect an injury in the conversation so that Morris does not push you while you recover.

  5. 7.5

The team members who review conversations may come to see it. What is yours alone, such as an injury, does not pass into Morris's general knowledge.

  6. 7.6

If you use the Badgie Golf app on an Apple Watch and give permission, that app may read your heart rate, calories and distance to record the round as a workout.

Rule 8What for, and on what basis

And by what right do you do all this?

It depends. Almost everything, because you ask me to. Improving Morris or measuring ads is legitimate interest, and you can object. Your health, only with your consent.

  1. 8.1

These are the purposes and their legal bases under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

    What forWhat dataLegal basis
Providing the service: answering you, analysing your game and connecting your servicesSign-up, messages, files, profile, memory, rounds and connectionsPerformance of the contract (Art. 6.1.b)
Writing to you on its own initiative, and the single message after sign-upNumber, language, time zone and activityLegitimate interest in the service being useful to you; you can stop it whenever you like (Art. 6.1.f)
Improving and training Morris, with human reviewConversations, files, swing videos and analysesLegitimate interest in improving the quality and safety of answers; you can object (Art. 6.1.f)
Remembering what you tell us about your healthInjuries and aches you mentionExplicit consent (Art. 9.2.a)
Measuring where sign-ups come from and which ads workSource, campaign and clickLegitimate interest; you can object (Art. 6.1.f)
Preventing abuse, bots and fraud, and protecting the systemsIP, daily code and technical logsLegitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f)
Complying with the law, responding to authorities and defending ourselves in claimsInvoices and whatever is necessaryLegal obligation and legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.c and f)
  2. 8.2

When we rely on legitimate interest, that interest cannot override your rights. You can object at any time and explain how it affects you; we will tell you how we have weighed it.

  3. 8.3

We do not sell your data. We do not show advertising from other companies in Morris.

Rule 9How the AI decides

Do you grade me? Do you decide things about me?

I build a profile of your golf to adapt to you, and that is called profiling. But nothing I decide affects you legally, and you can correct me.

  1. 9.1

Morris generates its answers automatically with AI models. For each answer, what you send goes to the model provider along with your profile, your memory and the golf data needed.

  2. 9.2

We build a profile with your level, your goals, your playing patterns and the topics that interest you. That is profiling under the GDPR, and it is used to adapt advice and decide when to write to you.

  3. 9.3

An automatic analysis of conversations may decide whether something was left pending and whether to write to you again or leave you alone.

  4. 9.4

Morris does not take solely automated decisions that produce legal effects on you or affect you similarly. If you think something does, you can ask for a person to review it.

  5. 9.5

A model can get it wrong when summarising or remembering. If you see an incorrect piece of data, correct it in the chat or in your space: that is your right to rectification.

Rule 10How Morris learns

Do you use what I tell you to train you?

Yes, and I would rather say so clearly. People and other AIs review conversations and videos to correct me. What is general stays; what is yours is not told to other players. You can object.

  1. 10.1

Morris learns continuously. Every hour a process reviews recent conversations: one AI proposes what Morris should learn, another challenges it, and only what both approve goes in. Team members may review the result.

  2. 10.2

What helps any player, such as how a rule is interpreted, passes into Morris's general knowledge, with its source. What is yours alone stays in your memory and does not pass into that knowledge.

  3. 10.3

Corrections are kept as training examples. Before they are kept, an automatic process removes emails, licences, phone numbers, handicap figures and first names, and a person then confirms it. The automatic process does not catch everything (surnames, clubs or courses, for example), which is why someone reviews it. Those examples and the general knowledge influence answers to other players, and they stay even if you delete your account.

  4. 10.4

People authorised by Badgie, with a duty of confidentiality, may access conversations, files, videos, memory and phone number to review quality, handle incidents and correct Morris.

  5. 10.5

Our AI lab copies swing videos sent by WhatsApp or through the app to an internal environment, with their frames and analysis. There a coach and an analyst label them to measure and improve swing analysis and shot tracing. Videos from the web analyzer do not go in. Since 4 November 2026, neither do those Morris has identified as showing someone else. The lab keeps a code derived from your account instead of your name, but the video may show you.

  6. 10.6

You can object: write to us at hello@badgie.com and we will stop using your conversations and videos for this, unless there is a compelling legitimate reason, and we will remove your clips from the lab. Removing a clip deletes its video and frames there. What has already gone into the general knowledge cannot be separated out.

  7. 10.7

To answer you we use the model providers' commercial APIs, whose terms exclude by default training their models on that data. For the hourly review we also use AI tools from those providers.

Rule 11Who else receives it

Who do you pass my data to?

To those who make me work: the AI, hosting and file providers. We do not sell it to anyone.

  1. 11.1

These providers process data on Badgie's behalf, for the purposes in this policy:

    ProviderWhat forWhat it receivesWhere
AnthropicGenerating answers, analysing photos and videos, searching the internet and reviewing conversationsMessages, profile, memory, photos and framesUnited States
OpenAITranscribing voice notes, backup for image analysis and reviewing conversationsVoice notes and, when acting as backup or reviewing, photos, frames and conversationsUnited States
Amazon Web ServicesWhatsApp line server, technical logs and backupsMessages and files in transit, and logsSpain
    SupabaseMorris's databaseMorris's dataEuropean Union
VercelWebsite, server processes, gateway to the models and bot protectionWebsite traffic and data in transitUnited States and other countries
CloudinaryHosting voice notes, photos and videosThose filesMay be outside the European Economic Area
TelegramInternal alerts to the teamInternal identifier and last digits of the phone numberMay be outside the European Economic Area
  2. 11.2

Part of the conversation review and the line's emergency plan run on Badgie's own machines, in Spain.

  3. 11.3

These companies make their own decisions about the data they process in their own services and have their own policies: Meta, because your messages travel over WhatsApp; Apple and Google, for the stores, sign-in and payment; and Google also for what rule 2 explains.

  4. 11.4

If you connect a service, we exchange data with it, as explained in rule 6. Badgie Golf is from the same company and shares the account with you.

  5. 11.5

We may disclose data to courts and authorities when the law requires it, and to whoever acquires the Morris business if it changes hands, telling you first.

Rule 12Outside Europe

Does my data leave Europe?

Some of it, yes. Morris's database is in the European Union, but the AI models and other providers may process it in the United States.

  1. 12.1

Morris's database is in the European Union and the WhatsApp line's server in Spain. Other providers in rule 11, in particular the AI model providers, may process data in the United States or other countries outside the European Economic Area.

  2. 12.2

In those cases we rely on the GDPR's safeguards: an adequacy decision, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for companies that have joined it, or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

  3. 12.3

You can ask us for information about these safeguards and a copy at hello@badgie.com.

  4. 12.4

If you live in the United Kingdom, Switzerland or another country with its own rules, the protections those rules require also apply.

Rule 13Other people

If I send you my daughter's swing, what do you keep about her?

What you call her and how you are related, plus the video and its analysis, apart from yours. Say “forget Marta” and I delete her name and her results.

  1. 13.1

If you send someone else's swing, we keep the video and its analysis under your account, along with the name you give them and the relationship you tell us. We do not keep their phone, email or licence. It does not count towards your progress or your memory.

  2. 13.2

It is your responsibility to have permission to send it. If you tell Morris to forget that person, we delete their name and results. To delete the video as well, write to us.

  3. 13.3

When you talk about other people, such as a playing partner or your coach, that stays in the conversation. Tell Morris only what is needed.

  4. 13.4

Morris may tell you about a Badgie Golf friend's round, with their name, the course and the result, and tell them about yours. Only your friends see your rounds.

  5. 13.5

Morris may look up any federated player's public handicap at the RFEG to answer what you ask it.

  6. 13.6

A season summary you share may show your playing partners' first names to whoever opens the link.

  7. 13.7

If you are one of those people, even if you do not use Morris, write to us at hello@badgie.com. We will tell you what we have about you and respect your rights.

Rule 14Clubs, schools and spaces

Does my club see what I talk to you about?

No. Neither your conversations nor your profile. At most, figures on how many sign-ups came through its link.

  1. 14.1

If you sign up with a club's link, we keep its code with your sign-up. The club does not give us member lists and receives at most aggregate counts. Internally, the Badgie team can see which players came through each club.

  2. 14.2

If you are a student at a school on Badgie and you connect your account from Badgie, with your consent, that chat works as a separate channel: it does not create a golf account and is not mixed with your history or what Morris remembers. If your parent or guardian connects you, Morris talks to that person about your golf.

  3. 14.3

Depending on your age and what you have accepted, Morris checks for each answer your school, your handicap, your finished rounds and your latest achievement and, in addition, your published reports, your coach's visible notes, your plan, your diary and your technology data. Never payments, medical information or internal notes. It does not receive your date of birth, only whether you are an adult or have a guardian.

  4. 14.4

Badgie records that the connection has had activity, without keeping the content of the message. You can revoke the connection from Badgie, and Morris will stop reading that data.

  5. 14.5

A private space starts from a roster supplied by its organiser, which may include names and licences. Your name serves only to identify candidates and does not give access on its own: a person at Badgie approves or revokes each access. Members see each other's photo, description, team, handicap, editions and points.

  6. 14.6

If you are on a roster and do not want to be, ask the organiser or write to us.

Rule 15Minors

What if I am 15?

You can use Morris from 14. Below that, no. I do not ask for documents, so I trust you to tell me the truth.

  1. 15.1

Morris is aimed at people aged 14 or over, the age at which Spanish law allows you to consent for yourself. Other countries may set a higher age, as explained in rule 4 of the Terms.

  2. 15.2

We do not ask for documents or check age at sign-up. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 14 has used Morris, write to us at hello@badgie.com and we will delete their data.

  3. 15.3

Accounts of minors registered with a federation have a protected mode in the social part of Badgie Golf: no search, no live location and a masked card.

  4. 15.4

If you send your son's or daughter's swing, it is handled as explained in rule 13.

Rule 16How long

How long do you keep all this?

Almost everything, as long as you keep your account and until you ask me to delete it. Some things have short time limits. Here they are.

  1. 16.1

These are the actual time limits as of today:

    WhatHow long
Conversations, memory, profile, rounds and swing videosAs long as you have an account, until you delete them
A sign-up that never wrote: number, IP and sourceUntil you ask us to delete it. There is no automatic deletion today
Website visits, without IPThere is no automatic deletion today
Web analyzer: video and analysis30 days
Federation credentialsUntil you disconnect or delete your account
Garmin password, if Garmin limits access48 hours at most
Technical logs of the line's server14 days
Backups of the line's server7 days
List of numbers served, to route messages if a system fails30 days
Messages and files held back by a delivery failureUntil they are delivered or a person resolves them
Training examples and general knowledgeNo limit. They stay even if you delete your account
Lab clipsUntil they are removed. Deleting your account does not remove them: ask us
Irreversible code of your phone number, so as not to repeat the message after sign-upNo limit
Invoices and whatever the law requiresThe legal period
  2. 16.2

If you stop using Morris without asking for anything, we do not delete your data automatically today. To have it deleted, follow rule 17.

  3. 16.3

When data is deleted, we may keep blocked what is needed to respond to claims during the legal periods.

Rule 17Your rights and how to delete

I want you to delete my data. How do I do it?

Write “delete my data” and I send you a link. That deletes what is ours, but not everything. To delete absolutely everything, write to hello@badgie.com.

  1. 17.1

You have the right to access your data, rectify it, erase it, object to its processing, restrict it, take it to another service, withdraw your consent and not be subject to solely automated decisions.

  2. 17.2

To exercise them, write to hello@badgie.com. We reply within one month at most. We may ask you to confirm it is you, for instance with a message from your number.

  3. 17.3

There are four ways to delete today, and each reaches as far as this table says:

HowWhat it deletesWhat it does not reach
Ask Morris to “delete my data” and confirm at the link, which expires in 24 hoursYour conversation, what it remembers about you, your sign-up and your swing analyses in MorrisYour Badgie Golf account and rounds, video, photo and audio files already stored, the line's logs and lab clips
In the app: More, Settings, Delete accountYour Morris and Badgie Golf account, your profile, your rounds, scorecards and reports and your connections, right awayYour WhatsApp conversation and what Morris remembers about you. If you are linked to a school, you have to write to us
An email to hello@badgie.comEverything possible: account, conversation, memory, videos, voice notes, photos and lab clips. A person does it, within 30 days at most, and we confirm it to youWhat the law obliges us to keep and what no longer identifies you
In your spaceWhat Morris remembers about you, one item at a time or all of itEverything else
  4. 17.4

After deletion, the training examples and general knowledge stay, along with usage and cost records not linked to you, and the irreversible code of your phone number. The Delete your account page sums up the steps.

  5. 17.5

Deleting your account does not cancel a Pro subscription: cancel it in the store.

  6. 17.6

If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency or your country's authority; in the United Kingdom, the ICO. We would appreciate you writing to us first.

Rule 18Cookies, security and changes

What about cookies?

I use few and they are my own. I do not use advertising cookies or third-party tools to follow you around the internet.

  1. 18.1

These are the morris.golf cookies for visitors and players:

    NameWhat forDuration
    morris_langRemembering your language1 year
morris_webRecognising your browser in the analyzer, without a name1 year
morris_spaceKeeping you signed in to your spaceUp to 30 days
morris_trackman_flowCompleting the TrackMan connectionAs long as the connection takes
m_botKeeping automated traffic out of the statistics30 minutes
  2. 18.2

We also keep in your browser, without cookies, the source of your visit during the session, to link it to your sign-up, and your latest analysis in the analyzer. Vercel provides the website's bot protection.

  3. 18.3

On morris.golf we do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels or similar tools.

  4. 18.4

We protect your data with encrypted credentials and permissions, an encrypted disk on the line's server and access restricted to authorised people. No system is infallible. If a breach puts your rights at risk, we will notify the authority and you as the law requires.

  5. 18.5

If we change this policy in an important way, we will let you know through the chat, the app or the website. The date of the version in force is always at the top, and you can ask us for earlier ones.

  6. 18.6

The original text is the Spanish one. Translations are offered to help you; where they differ, the Spanish prevails, except for rights your country's law does not allow to be reduced.
